Ather 450X is an electric scooter which competes with Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 pro. Now the company has launched it's updated version, Ather 450X Gen 3 with many updated features. The price of the Ather 450X Gen 3 starts at 1.39 lakhs ex-showroom in Delhi and it costs 1.55 lakhs ex-showroom in Bangalore. The new Ather 450X Gen 3 looks very similar to the old one but it has some upgrades and here you can read about those upgrades.
The new Ather 450X Gen 3 has a bigger 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack while the Gen 2 was having the battery pack of 2.9kWh only. However the motor is same as the old one i.e. 6kW motor which produces 26 Nm of peak torque. Due to the bigger battery pack the Ather 450X now offers more range than before. The company claims the range from 106 km per charge to 146 km per charge as per the conditions, but the actual range which has been on road is of 105 km per charge which is actually 20 km more than the old Ather 450X which has a range of 85 km per charge only. The bigger battery pack is going to benefit in the sales of the scooter as many of the peoples were demanding to increase the range of the scooter.
The new Ather 450X also gets the new and larger rear view mirrors which not only looks good but also offers us to get better view of what's behind. The company has also updated the tyres in the new Ather 450X which have been co-developed in association with MRF. The scooter gets MRF Nylogrip Zapper-N 12-inch tubeless tyres, a 90/90-12 inch at front and a wider 100/80-12 inch tyre at rear. These tyres are going to hold a good grip on the roads and will increase the capability to go long.
The company has also updated the user interface on its 7.0-inch touchscreen instrument cluster in new Ather 450X. The new interface is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor and gets 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage while it is doubled in terms of features as compared to the old one. The increase in features makes the instrument cluster fast than the older one.

It is priced at Rs 1.39 lakhs which is only Rs 1,000 more than the older one at Delhi and in Bengaluru it costs 1.55 lakh which is 5,000 more than the older one, all prices are ex-showroom.
