Royal Enfield's new bike has been priced from 1.5 lakhs. List and details are here.
Royal Enfield is already known for its classic and robust bikes and now company has launched the most-awaited Hunter 350 which is finally on sale from August 07, 2022. The CEO of Royal Enfield, Siddhartha Lal said that the new Hunter 350 was under development since 2016. It is based on the Royal Enfield's J-series 350 cc platform that underpins the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350.
The company says that the chassis has been modified to offer a completely unique motorcycle with different characterstics and fun-to-drive experience. The new Hunter 350 comes with several classic design elements like turn indicators, tail lights, IRVM's and round shaped headlight which looks quite same as Meteor. It does not looks like a cruiser and the upswept tail and exhaust helps a lot to make it quite similar to a roadster. The fuel tank is shaped like a tear-drop, which enables the rider to get a good knee grip and has a Royal graphics with the badging of Royal Enfield which enhances the looks of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle is offered in 6 colours- Rebel Blue, Rebel Red, Rebel Black, Dapper Ash, Dapper White and Dapper Grey. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 comes with LED tail light and LED turn indicators, while the headlight has halogen bulb. The instrument console is very similar to the Meteor 350. It comes with a tripper navigation pod, which is expected to be offered as an option or in top-end model only.
The new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is powered with the same 349cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke air-oil cooled engine with fuel injector. This engine is also offered in Meteor 350 and Classic 350, this seems that the Royal Enfield is not making much efforts to modify engine whereas the company changes the design completely. It has a 5-speed gearbox and the bike produces the power of 20.2 bhp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. It is said by the company that it can go to the maximum speed of 113 kmph which is quite decent.
The motorcycle weighs around 181 kg which is 10 kg less as compared to the Classic 350. The fuel tank capacity is of 13 litres. The Hunter 350 offers a low seat height of 800mm and the wheelbase of 1370mm with a 17-inch alloy wheels. The motorcycle comes with a front telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload at the rear. The braking is good enough with a 300mm front disc and 270mm rear disc and dual-channel ABS system. The lower trims can be offered with spoke wheels and single-channel ABS. But the overall look is good enough to attract the bike enthusiasts and this can be the cheapest motorcyle of the Royal Enfield in today's date which can help the company to get more sales as compared to Meteor 350.
