Ferrari 296 GTB: Ferrari's first Hybrid engine with fun to drive experience. 





Ferrari is all set to go green and Ferrari 296 GTB is one of example to show that they are revolutionising the performance and design too. 296 GTB is powered by a Hybrid engine, which leverages the less carbon emission but does not compromises with power, performance and price too. In India it has been launched with price tag of Rs 5.70 crore (Ex-showroom). Read in detail about it. 

Exterior and Interior Design:

Ferrari has designed the 296 GTB with a futuristic look and it has been designed as identity of Ferrari's mid-rear engine Berlinetta. 296 GTB defined to look compact and modern whereas the front design is attractive and made with simplicity. Headlamps has been quoted with DRL's and large curved grille gives it a smiling design. The car has been offered in 1 variant and 15 different colours. 

The rear is designed with a ring-shaped flying buttress which covers the whole compartment of engine, developed with a three-dimensional glass surface. The tail has been incorporated with horizontal element that encloses the light and an integrated spoiler which can be down forced to raise the performance. The overall design is muscular and hodiernal, one can compare to the design of spaceship and has a good aerodynamics. 

The interior of the car is designed similar to all other Ferrari's model whereas you will get AC vents with different styling and 296 GTB embedded on dashboard. The dashboard has been placed with lot of controls and gets dual-color scheme with good work of ambient lightings all around. No screen at middle of dashboard like other cars, but gets a huge digital gauge cluster which shows all useful information. 

Engine and specifications:

296 GTB has been powered by a 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which is integrated with a 166 hp of electric motor and by combining both, it produces a maximum power of 830 bhp while 645 bhp of power produced by only IC engine. Both IC engine and electric motor helps it to produce 740 nm of torque that helps to rev 0 to 100 only in 2.9 seconds and can achieve a maximum speed of 330 km/h. All the power is churned by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 

The beast gets four driving modes- eDrive, Hybrid, Performance and Qualify, which helps it perform well depending on conditions. The eDrive mode enables us to get 130 km/h without any help of IC engine. The car is equipped with advanced control functions like TMA actuator and 6w- CDS body sensor. ABS evo controller and Grip Estimator integrated with EPS has been installed for better stability. 

More about Ferrari 296 GTB:

The vehicle has a length of 4546mm, width of 1958mm, height of 1187mm and wheelbase of 2600mm.It can store fuel of 65 litres. The brand has placed lot of features in the car like suspension lifter, surround view camera and much more. The car has been fitted with Alcantara-wrapped seats, carbon-fibre front spoiler and wheel bolts made of titanium. Some of the component's structure has been totally redesigned which makes it 12 kg lighter and helps to perform well on tracks.
