Mercedes-AMG introduces new C63 S, which gets a hybrid powertrain.

Mercedes is always known for it's comfort and luxury and now Mercedes has introduced it's new and updated AMG C63 S coupe and it gets a new hybrid engine that has been replaced from old V8 engine. Exterior and Interior of AMG C63 S:

The exterior body of the AMG C63 S has been modified and differentiated from the old C class models. The new C63 S hides the 19-inch alloys or an optional 20-inch alloys by the help of 76mm wider front wheel arches. The front grille has been made more aggresive with a dark black shade and as always a large Mercedes emblem at centre. The grille has an active shutters that opens whenever engine demands for cooling. The bumpers are done little bit out which adds on to the overall body length by 50mm longer and encoded grille in bumper provides additional cooling to the engine.

Interior of the car is very familiar to other Mercedes C class whereas it is convenient and comfortable. The AMG Dynamic select helps to choose the drive programs which fulfills the desired driving experience. The Dynamic select has pre-configured programs like- Sport, Sport+, Slippery and Race, also one can configure it according to their need. The interior has been quoted with sporty AMG performance seats and and AMG Track pace helps a lot to gain experience. 

Engine and performance:

The AMG C63 S is governed by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which has been derived from CLA 45 and GLA 45. The engine has been tweaked same as in the C43 and SL 43 but C63 S performs way better than both, thanks to the 400V of electrically assisted  turbocharger which helps the turbine to get faster . The electric motor and engine both combines and churns out a power of 680 hp, making it most powerful four-cylinder engine in the series whereas 203 hp is contributed by its EDU(Electric Drive Unit) when it is on boost mode.

The vehicle sprints from 0-100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds and can achieve a maximum speed of 280 km/h. The performance is laid on the tracks by the help of nine-speed Wet-clutch MCT gearbox and all the four wheels of the car contributes in performance by all-wheel drive system. Even when vehicle is on electric mode, it is an all-wheel drive car. The 6.8kWh Lithium-ion battery is relatively smaller in this plug-in hybrid system, due to which it has an EV range of only 13 km.

The vehicle gets eight driving modes and four modes for regenerative braking which enhances the driving experience. AMG struggled a lot to recover the loss of V8 engine through plug-in hybrid engine. The sound of performance has been recovered through an artificial sound effects, which is transmitted in the cabin for passengers whereas for external speakers has been placed for external crowd.

The AMG C63 S has been loaded with lot of features and it also gets four-wheel steering that enables the rear wheel to rotate in opposite direction of front by 2.5 degrees which will definitely help on the curves of the track.
