Hero Motocorp has launched it's new e-scooter: Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro.
The renowned Indian brand, Hero Motocorp has introduced it's new range of EV i.e. Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro. Vida V1 Plus has been launched at a price of 1.45 lakh (Ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and V1 Pro has been launched at 1.59 lakh (Ex-showroom, Bengaluru) whereas price can depend according to state subsidies and may be affected in other cities.

Battery, Electric Motor and Performance:
The Vida V1 Plus has a battery pack of 3.4 kWh which helps the scooter to claim a range of 145 km. The electric motor is similar in both V1 Plus and V1 Pro, enabling them to achieve a top speed of 82 km/h. V1 Plus goes from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and it has an option of fast charging which helps to get charged from 20 percent to 100 percent within an hour, while the home charging can take upto 5 hours and 45 minutes to get fully charged.
The Vida V1 Pro has a larger, 3.94 kWh of battery pack that helps the scooter to transmit higher, 165 km of riding range. It attains from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.2 second, which is quicker than V1 Plus. By the help of fast charger, vehicle can be charged from 20 percent to 100 percent within an hour. The home charger can charge from 0 to 100 percent in about 6 hours or can take little bit longer than 6 hours as it has larger battery pack. Both the scooters can climb the steep inclines by taking along 170 kgs of weight.
Design and Underpinnings:
Both the scooters, V1 Plus and V1 Pro are almost similar in terms of design and gets a futuristic and an attractive design. Both the scooter gets a full LED setup at front as well as rear. Front headlamps are designed very different by placing quad LED setup surrounded by LED DRLs. LED turn indicators are placed on handle bar which takes turn with handles while the telescopic forks at front enhances the overall look of the vehicle.
Coming at rear, it's very simple and classy with U-shaped taillight and turn indicators just side to the number plate. Gets a splited seat and full black alloys adds up to the color scheme. It has dual-tone in all the variants and offered in four different colors i.e. Matte White, Matte Abrax Orange, Matte Sports Red and Gloss Black.
Features and More:
Both the scooters are loaded with lot of advanced features like Cruise control, SOS button for any emergency, 7.0 inch TFT screen which tells a lot of information and updates you about any problem that scooter is facing. One can connect their smartphone with scooter to get an update of charging, range, location and much more. Vida has given a keyless start/stop button like other e-scooters have been featured. The most attentive feature is that, it has batteries splitted in two and two of them are removable, so that one can swap the battery if needs. Vida has offered a wide under seat storage, which is definitely bigger than Chetak and Ola S1. Vida V1 gets three drive modes and much of the features can be accessed through buttons, no need to panic and bother.
Vida V1 and V1 Pro are definitely a good package with such features and specifications. Hero is going to hit the market with this scooters and can make a tough competition for Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1, TVS i-Qube and Ather. Due their strong presence in two-wheeler market Hero is going to have an advantage of brand value compared to the Ola and Ather.
