Keeway SR125 has been launched at Rs 1.19 lakh.

SR125 is a new bike launched by Keeway in India.

Keeway has recently entered in Indian two-wheeler market and launched some bike in many segments and now, the company has launched it's most affordable bike, SR125 in India priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (Ex-showroom). The motorcycle has been offered in three colours i.e. White, Black and Red.

Highlights:

  • 125cc air-cooled engine.
  • Power of 9.7 hp and 8.3 nm of torque.
  • Disc brakes at front and rear.
  • 17-inched of spoked wheels.
  • Digital instrument cluster.

Design and Offerings:

The overall design of the bike is cool enough to impress the retro lovers. The bike definitely reminds you of RX series from Yamaha, whereas sound is different but many of the things get matched to RX series. From front it looks little off-roader due to the block-pattern tyres and smal circular headlight with the black rubbers on front suspension. Fuel tank is designed by keeping the late 90's motorcycle on mind and it has only stickering of Keeway.

The side look of motorcycle looks very stunning and reminds of Ducati Scrambler, specially due to the upliftment of exhaust and single-piece ribbed seat. The back is not much loaded and has a little and rounded taillight, looks that embedded in the back of seat but actually not. Indicators are done in orange colour but too small to find out at a glance. Motorcycle gets a length, width and height of 1890, 790 and 1050 respectively. Looks are impressive and does not feels hefty and bulky as it does not have much loadings in it.

Engine and Performance:

The new SR125 has been powered by 125cc air-cooled SOHC engine, which churns out a power of 9.7 hp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 8.3 nm at 7500 rpm. Whole power is shifted to the roads by using 5-speed manual transmission and company has not disclosed any mileage yet, whereas it expected to have mileage of 50 to 60 kmpl.

More about SR125:

The motorcycle does have much addings and list of features is small but gets more features than the other bikes in 125cc segment. Company has compiled fully digital instrument cluster and assembled with LED DRLs. It also gets combi-braking system, side stand with built-in engine cut off feature and hazard switch. The motorcycle gets a wheelbase of 1285mm, ground clearance of 165mm and weighs around 120 kg, which is not too bulky.

The braking operation has been done by 300mm single disc at front and 210mm at rear, which is sufficient according to performance. The motorcycle runs on a 110/70 17-inches of spoked wheel at front and 130/70 17-inches of spoked wheel at rear. Company has equipped the motorcycle with 128mm telescopic forks for front and Telescopic coil spring oil damped for rear. The vehicle is good in all aspects but looks little overpriced as it belongs to 125cc segment whereas design and loadings describes the price well.
